Beautiful Fountains of the World

A traditional fountain is an arrangement where water issues from a source, fills a basin or jets it into the air and is drained away either to supply drinking water or for decorative or dramatic effect. In fountains sheets of water may flow over varied surfaces of stone, concrete or metal. Basins may overflow from one into another, or the overflow may imitate a natural cascade. Many fountains are located in small, artificial, ornamental ponds, basins and formal garden pools, and often they include sculpture. These wonderful architectural pieces continue to attract crowds and inspire millions around the world.

Ten World's Largest Waterfalls

Waterfalls are commonly formed when a river is young. When the river courses over resistant bedrock, erosion happens slowly, while downstream the erosion occurs more rapidly. As the watercourse increases its velocity at the edge of the waterfall, it plucks material from the riverbed. Whirlpools created in the turbulence as well as sand and stones carried by the watercourse increase the erosion capacity. This causes the waterfall to carve deeper into the bed and to recede upstream. Often over time, the waterfall will recede back to form a canyon or gorge downstream as it recedes upstream, and it will carve deeper into the ridge above it.

Baby Sculptures

Camille Allen is a baby sculptress using clays. She used to sculpt large life size dolls in polymer clay but discovered her talents when she formed the bit of clay from leftovers of the larger dolls into a miniature baby, and after she finished it, she was fascinated and felt of protectiveness. For hair she uses English mohair and blushes them with paint for realism to enhance their tiny wrinkles and creases. The baby sculptures she makes looks realistic and can be mistaken for real babies. She sculpts both life size and miniature babies.

Bottomless Cave In Vietnam

This is the world’s largest mammoth cave and the bottom is out of sight. There are jungles inside it. The roof of the cave fell in and let sunlight in and all kinds of vegetation soon followed. It is one of twenty caves that have been found in Vietnam. A local farmer discovered the cave and led the joint British and Vietnamese exploration team in their April expedition. The team mapping the cave got as far as a 46 foot high wall before they were stymied.
